Burç Turk Maritime firm which was established in 2005 launched the first steel construction 2005 in Algeria. Special purpose fisher boat was launched in 8 November 2006 with a ceremony by TGNA Speaker Bulent Arınc and Algeria Parliamentary Speaker Amar SAADANI. Because this was the first in Algeria, Algeria Minister of Fishing, many senior bureaucrats, fishing cooperative chiefs participated in this ceremony, after launching ceremony in Algeria press “Turkish-Algeria Jewellery of Future” expressions were used. The ship Rina classy and called “Manisa” had an indicator that all kinds of ships could be done in Algeria.

İlhan İSBİLEN who is the owner of Burc Maritime and also has been working as a chairman of board of directors of Türkter Navy yard between 1997-2004 said they took a risk in Algeria with this kind of investment, they had some problems about qualified workers but all of these matters passed and after all the process would work well. Mr. İsbilen emphasized that Algeria was a door to Africa and sailing sector in Algeria was virgin so this was a good opportunity for them and their investments would continue and they would sign in big projects.
